The vegetable-windrower of the WV series are available in five working widths between 140 cm and 205 cm. The machines are usually used for two-phase, delayed harvesting in order to get shell-resistance and robust onions. Further more they are "starter machine" for the mechanical harvest of vegetables. The crop is gently taken in, cleaned by two main webs and placed in a swath on the surface of the ground, so that the crop can dry and thus become shell-resistant and storable. The machine can be adapted to different harvesting conditions by means of various intake units and other options.
Reliable rolling of the bed roller and good preparation of the ground for crop deposit in a swathThe unique, spring loaded Boogie-system ensures that the bed roller turns safely and that the pressure remains constant. In this way, an absolutely even and levelled soil surface is prepared for the subsequent deposit of the crop in a swath.
Reliable deposit of homogeneous, marketable crop. The individual segments of the intake paddle are arranged offset to each other so that the first main web is evenly fed with crop. The intake paddle also prevents the crop from rolling back when the machine is lifted.
Clean headland without "lost" cropA hydraulically lowerable intermediate bunker prevents losses of crop during turning manoeuvres on headlands. At the same time, it provides more space for manoeuvring and opening fields.
Gentle crop intakeDue to the floating suspension and the high flexibility of the intake paddle-brush resp. the rubber intake paddle, a perfect adaptation to varying crop flow is given. This reduces the mechanical stress on the crop.
For heavy conditionsFor additional sieving capacity, both main webs of the machine can be equipped with a mechanical or hydraulic agitating device.
