2021 Grimme WG 900 Single

The innovative web grader, type WG 900, with its compact design and height-adjustable chassis is easy to integrate into the crop flow. Due to an optimized design the effective grading area could be increased by 15 % compared to the previous model. However, the overall length of the grading web has remained the same, so that the available grading webs of the previous model can still be used. The 900 mm wide rubber web with with conically shaped meshes has only low impact on the crop. It offers an ideal compromise between grading accuracy and flow rate thanks to its infinitely variable drive. A soft paddle pusher in front of the drive drum ensures a gentle crop lifting without damage. The new 800 mm wide grading cross conveyor ensures optimum crop transfer to downstream conveyors, regardless of their angle to the web grader. For grading in different sizes in a single operation-step, several units WG 900 can be coupled in series - simply and without conversion. The unique "QuickConnect" quick-change system reduces downtime by up to 70% compared to conventional web-joiners. Thus grading webs can be adapted to the desired tuber size more quickly and easily.

For lateral discharge of the graded crop onto a downstream installed conveyor an 800 mm wide grading cross conveyor, can be fitted as an option.

By connecting several WG 900 in series, different grading sizes can be generated in one step.

Features may include:

• The 800 mm wide grading cross conveyor ensures an improved crop transfer of the graded crop to downstream conveyor belts.

• For highest gentle crop handling of the crop transfer from the conveyor onto the web grader the receiving funnel is buffered and sealed with soft rubber. Also the side parts of the transfer channel are covered with polyethylene plates to reduce rolling of the crop to the side.

• The eccentric agitator gently waves the rubber sorting web. It thus ensures a gentle intensification of the fractioning-process. The continuous contact to the rubber-web gently lifts any wedged crop out of the meshes and reduces the risk of damages.

• The soft rubber web with its with conically shaped mashes provides a gentle grading into two sizes.

• QuickConnect is a unique feature for a very fast change of the grading webs. The tool-free opening and closing of the rubber webs significantly reduces the necessary working steps. Changing is possible in 70 % less time.

• Compared to the previous model, the effective grading surface was increased by 15 %.

• Up to 70 % less down times thanks to QuickConnect - the GRIMME quick-change system to be used for rubber sorting webs.

• Perfect crop protection thanks to specially arranged paddle pusher, so that any jammed crop is gently lifted out of the meshes.
